MODERN LITERATURE AT BICKERING ON TEA
Welcome to the much-loved Bickering on Tea, our glorious town’s favourite tea rooms and wholefood café, where modern literature short stories can be found. Our tales concern the issues of modern life, relationships, politics, social comment, morality, work-life balance and just about anything else that you might care about passionately. Unlike the tea and highly tasty spinach quiche, all the modern literature stories here are free, so please help yourself to any that you like the look of.
My team and I (that’s Sebastian, Thomasina and me) love a good story, so if you would like to contribute one about the human condition, that would be great. Before you do, please visit our Contributions page to check out the guidelines.
There are also a number of other genres to explore throughout Bickering on Sea. Though, if you are looking for a decent cup of tea and a good story, I personally would avoid the romantic slush served at Bickering Station tea rooms with Myrtle Bagot’s excruciating rock cakes. Literally, not my cup of tea.
I came to Bickering on Sea on a sabbatical from my hectic and pressured city life, and instantly fell in love with the place. I decided to stay and set up Bickering on Tea; offering fair trade tea and coffee, wholesome tasty food, and a respite from life’s pressures. I hope that you too, will linger a while and find your escape here.
